In VOGUE Vilnius

The International Fashion Festival "In VOGUE Vilnius" is organised and held by the Lithuanian Association of Fashion Creators annually. The venue of the Festival is National Opera and Ballet Theatre which is located in Lithuanian capital of Vilnius and is an acknowledged masterpiece of modern architecture of Lithuania.

"In VOGUE Vilnius" International Fashion Festival could be divided into two parts which are Stars-show and Competitive ones. During the Stars-show, world-famous fashion houses show their collections. Young fashion designers from all over Eastern and Central Europe compete for the Grand Prix of the Festival during its Competitive part.

The Jury of the Festival consists of the most acknowledged designing scholars and fashion designers both from Lithuania and abroad. The Grand Prix of "In VOGUE Vilnius" Festival - the GOLDEN BUTTON - is awarded to the best pret-a-porter designer that presents his or her collection during the Competitive part of the Festival.

Over the years, "In VOGUE Vilnius" has earned the name of the most distinguished festival of pret-a-porter in Eastern Europe. Every year it attracts more and more designers to participate, as well as journalists to cover it for local and international media. The Festival proudly stands among the most spectacular events in Lithuania.

In 1995, "In VOGUE Vilnius" Fashion Festival was organised for the fourth time already. The opening ceremony of the Festival was held inside the medieval castle of Trakai, a town nearby capital city of Vilnius. This was probably the most spectacular opening ceremony in the history of "In VOGUE Vilnius" International Fashion Festival.

In 1996, "In VOGUE Vilnius" estimated the fifth year of existence since 1992. The opening ceremony of the Festival took place among the remainders of Lower Castle of Vilnius. The audience had a unique possibility to enjoy the beauty and colour of fashion emphasised by the surrounding dust covered stones of medieval ruins.

In 1997, "In VOGUE Vilnius" International Fashion Festival will take place at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre entirely. During the opening ceremony, the audience will be offered to experience an unforgettable mysterya of sound, movement and sight. This is expected to be one of the most enchanting events of "In VOGUE Vilnius ‘97".
