Liucia Shulgaite born in 1933 Lithuania. Trained as a ceramist at the Latvian Arts Academy of Riga under guidance of prof. G.Kruglov. Since 1958 she has taken part in republican exhibitions and exhibitions abroad. At the beginning she exhibited not only ceramics, but also amber articles, textile (batica), enamelware. During all life she concentrated on the art of pottery, experimenting with new forms and techniques.
