VOZBINAS The artist was born in 1958, in Vilnius. In 1988 he gradueted from Vilnius Art Institute in painting. In 1990 he became a member of Lithuanian Artists Union. The artist has been an active participant of various exhibitions since 1988. He has organised eight personal axhibitions in Lithuania as well as abroad. His works have been acquired by the Art Museum of Vilnius, Sharjah Art Museum, Ministry of Culture, National Martynas Mažvydas Library as well as by private galleries all round the world, viz. in Poland, Denmark, Russia, USA. In his works, A.Vozbinas tries to model situations, and this is how the journey of invisible existence to visible nature stats. The painting is free, meditative, filled with emotions, encrusted with grotesque images, touched by misticism, prone to paradox, and always inclined to keep a bit of secresy, - that sign of meaning wich is the most important. |
